Meet The Principal

All About Jean Wolach, Principal

I grew up in Pueblo, Colorado and attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley earning a degree in Business Marketing as well as a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. I attended the University of Denver to obtain my degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. I have been in Douglas County Schools for over 30 years and have enjoyed each and every year.  I have been at Heritage Elementary for the past 19 years and have taught kindergarten, first grade and fourth grade before becoming the Assistant Principal. After six years as the Assistant Principal I am so honored to now be the Principal.

My husband, Patrick and I have two wonderful daughters, our oldest Hannah (28) is a nurse at Children’s Hospital. Our youngest Karlee (24) is teaching preschool and loving working with young kids (hmmmm wonder where she got that from).  I enjoy biking, hiking and going to Orangetheory with many staff members from Heritage.

Educational Philosophy

I believe that….

  • Each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. Our job is to foster that potential each and every day at school.

  • Teaching is a lifelong process of learning about new philosophies and new strategies, learning from the parents and community, learning from colleagues, and especially learning from our students.

  • Collaboration and a culture of continuous support and love are the most important ingredients in a successful school.

My personal leadership mission is to inspire and empower the students, staff, and community of Heritage Elementary to achieve success through cultivating a culture that embraces academic excellence, social emotional wellness and a family-school partnership.
